Accomplished sportswriter takes ruthless shot at Dwight Howard
Dwight Howard has more critics than the average NBA star, but it would appear one award-winning sportswriter thinks less of him than just about anyone who has ever seen the big man play.
Bob Ryan, a former Boston Globe writer who retired from the profession after 44 years in 2012, took to Twitter on Thursday in an attempt to illustrate just how useless he believes Howard is.
If I had to play a basketball game for my life tonight, and the only center available was Dwight Howard, I’d play with 4.

Howard is known for wearing out his welcome everywhere he goes, and there have been indications that he is looking to alter that reputation with his latest team. While he can certainly be a headache, he still averaged 16.6 points and 12.2 rebounds per game last season. Ryan would apparently rather die than field a starting five with Howard, so he can officially say he hates him more than anyone else.
