Some New York Knicks fans might want Anthony Edwards to come play for the team, but he does not seem keen on the idea.
Edwards’ Minnesota Timberwolves beat the New York Knicks 115-110 in a preseason game at Madison Square Garden in New York, N.Y., on October 13. The teams were playing for the first time since they made a big trade that sent Karl-Anthony Towns to the Knicks.
After the game, Edwards and Towns did a jersey swap. As the two swapped jerseys, a fan sitting near the court told Edwards to “come to New York.”

Edwards shot the fan a crazy look back in response. He then said he wasn’t about to sign up to be booed by Knicks fans any time he has an off game.
Edwards scored 31 points in that preseason game and had made 8 three-pointers, so it’s no wonder why a Knicks fan would have been recruiting the former No. 1 overall pick.
Edwards has emerged as a top player in the league, with consecutive All-Star teams made. He also just led the Timberwolves to the conference finals last season.
Things are looking up for Minnesota. Why would Edwards want to leave? He’s also on a 5-year, $244 million extension that runs through 2028, indicating he’s happy with the Timberwolves.
