D’Angelo Russell does great ice water veins celebration
D’Angelo Russell pulled out a great celebration after making a huge 3-pointer to give the Los Angeles Lakers a 107-101 win over the visiting Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night.
Russell, who at many times this season has been in head coach Byron Scott’s doghouse, broke out with a 39-point effort in which he shot 14-of-21, including 8-for-12 on threes. He made a big three to put the Lakers up 103-97 in the final minute and celebrated by saying he had ice in his veins.

Russell may have been dropping a quote from a Lil Wayne and Eminem song with that ice in my veins line.
Scott only recently named Russell, the No. 2 overall draft pick, his starting point guard for the rest of the season. It was a move that was long overdue, and it seems like it is already paying off.

It’s a nice turn for Russell to be receiving compliments from Scott, especially after the coach was publicly critical of the rookie throughout the season.
Russell’s 39-point game was the most by a Lakers rookie since Elgin Baylor’s 55 in 1959.
