The NBA’s richest are getting even richer.
Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reported on Monday that four-time All-Star big man DeMarcus Cousins has agreed to sign with the back-to-back defending champion Golden State Warriors.

The 27-year-old Cousins averaged 25.2 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game last season for the New Orleans Pelicans. However, he tore his left Achilles in January and may not be ready for the start of the 2018-19 season.
Being in a contract year, Cousins’ injury came at an awful time. However, the timing also had the effect of knocking his value down to the point where the capped-out Warriors were able to sign him to a cheap deal.
Cousins will now join Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, and Draymond Green in a truly unconscionable Big Five, at least one he gets healthy. He may have to mend fences with one of his new teammates though.
