Draymond Green thought Warriors ‘Strength in Numbers’ slogan was ‘corny’
“Strength in Numbers” has become something of a rallying cry for the Golden State Warriors since Steve Kerr took over as coach. Kerr’s brainchild went from locker room rally cry to marketing slogan to something of a movement among Warriors fans, and it features heavily in their promotional material even now.
Well, one Warriors star thought the whole thing was pretty darn cheesy the first time he heard it.

Well, hey, it probably did sound corny at first. As the Warriors kept winning and the fans embraced the team and the mantra, however, it turned into something else – and Green rightly credits the team’s marketing department for that.
Draymond Green: "One thing I'll tell you about that marketing department is they definitely took that Strength in Numbers and ran with it."

The slogan appears everywhere nowadays, sometimes to the frustration of opponents. It’s part of the culture now. Good thing Green got used to it.
