Enes Kanter wants WWE wrestling career after he leaves NBA
New York Knicks center Enes Kanter already has his post-playing career worked out, and it might surprise you.
Kanter, it turns out, is an enthusiastic fan of WWE — so much so that he’s become friends with professional wrestlers and wants to become one after he retires from the NBA.
“I’m actually talking to the people over there now. Vince McMahon, he knows me,” Kanter told Michael Pina of Vice Sports. “I had dinner with [Paul Heyman] two, three days ago. I asked him how long he’s gonna do this and he said ‘as long as Brock [Lesnar] goes, I go, and then I’m with you.’ I’m like yes! Seriously. I’m really serious about it.”
Where did it all start? With Kentucky’s Big Blue Madness in 2010, when Kanter introduced himself as The Undertaker. Several months back, he was actually afforded the opportunity to meet the actual Undertaker, which made him so nervous that his knees shook.
Kanter’s already pretty good at Twitter fights. Maybe he’ll make a good heel.
