A new savior could be arriving to rescue the ailing Golden State Warriors.
Mark Medina of The Mercury News reported Friday that journeyman Jimmer Fredette is among those who could join the Warriors for summer league.
Hearing a couple of interesting possible summer league names for the Warriors: Jimmer Fredette and Dedric Lawson.

Fredette, who is still only 30, appeared in six games late last season for the Phoenix Suns, averaging 3.7 points per game on 27.6 percent from the field. While he is still technically under contract with Phoenix, the team appears likely to decline his $1.99 million club option for next season.
The former BYU star never panned out in the NBA but has had a successful career overseas in recent years featuring plenty of absurd scoring outbursts. Interestingly enough, Fredette was drafted one pick before injured Warriors star Klay Thompson back in 2011. He probably won’t be filling in as a replacement Splash Brother any time soon, but a man can still dream.
