Kevin Durant, Tristan Thompson exchanged funny trash talk before Finals

Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors tips off on Thursday, but the two sides continue to get a head start on the trash talk.

Kevin Durant and Tristan Thompson encountered each other as they entered Oracle Arena for media sessions on Wednesday and proceeded to trade some barbs. Chris Haynes of ESPN shared the details of the funny exchange:

Kevin Durant, Tristan Thompson had a playful exchange upon entering the arena. “You better not switch on me [defensively],” KD said. TT replied, “I’m switching out every time.”

“Alright,” KD stated. “I got some new sh— in my bag for you.” TT countered with, “Yeah, we’ll see.”

The smack talk seems to be all in good fun for Durant and Thompson, who both played their college ball at the University of Texas. At the very least, it’s much less savage than what some of Durant’s teammates did earlier this week.
