Friday was a night to remember for Lance Stephenson, who made his first career game-winning buzzer-beater.
Stephenson banked in a deep 3-pointer to break a 119-119 tie between his Charlotte Hornets and the Atlanta Hawks in double-overtime at Time Warner Cable Arenas in Charlotte, giving his team a 122-119 win.
Stephenson had 17 points and 13 rebounds in the victory, which was easily his best game with his new team. He entered Friday’s contest averaging just 6.6 points per game. Of course he played to the crowd by jumping on a table after making the shot:
