LeBron James may have been dropping some bread crumbs in his latest ad.
The Los Angeles Lakers star James appeared this week in a newly-released commercial for Beats By Dre. James shared the ad in its entirety in a post to his official X page. The commercial also starred European soccer star Erling Haaland of England’s Manchester City.

One particular line in the commercial drew plenty of attention. James’ wife Savannah also appeared in the ad and delivered a message for her husband.
“Tell them you’re not done until you play with your son,” Savannah said. “Then do that, again.”
The commercial cut to images of both of James’ sons, 19-year-old Bronny and 16-year-old Bryce, in the middle of Savannah’s sentences (which you can see at the 1:30 mark in the video above).
It is common knowledge that James, 38, would like to stick around in the NBA long enough to play with his son Bronny, who is NBA Draft-eligible next year and looks set to continue his basketball career after his cardiac arrest scare in the summer. But it would be much more of a longshot for James to last long enough to play with his younger son Bryce, who is two years behind Bronny. Bryce does not become draft-eligible until 2026, at which point James would be going on 42 years old and entering his 24th NBA season (surpassing current all-time record holder Vince Carter’s 22 career seasons).
Nevertheless, that is a solid goal for the four-time NBA MVP James, who has been slowed a little bit by injuries these last few years but is still magnificent when he is on the court (putting up a 29-8-7 line last season). There are plenty of signs too that Bryce may be well worth the wait.
