Marcus Morris confident Celtics can come back and beat Bucks
The Boston Celtics have found themselves on the brink of elimination following three consecutive uninspiring performances against the Milwaukee Bucks, but Marcus Morris is confident we have seen the last of that from his team.
At Boston’s shootaround ahead of Game 5 against the Bucks on Wednesday, Morris confidently proclaimed that the Celtics’ season is nowhere near coming to an end.
Marcus Morris was getting his shoes on before shootaround when an assistant coach playfully asked him if he was ready to start shooting or if he was on vacation over there.
Mook stood up, launched a 3, and declared: “We ain’t going on vacation for another month."

The Celtics dominated Game 1 in Milwaukee, and it looked like they were poised to make a deep postseason run after being criticized all year for their inconsistent play. Instead, we have seen their flaws exposed over the past three games and they are down 3-1 in the series. Morris, however, still feels Boston is the “better team.”
"At the end of the day this is what we play for. You can’t go into a game being down 3-1 just thinking it’s over. Because in my mind, I still think we’re the better team."

Marcus Morris: "At the end of the day we’re trying to win a playoff game. You’re trying to win a playoff game, it’s blood, sweat and tears. You have to give 100 percent effort, everything you’ve got the entire game."

No matter how you look at it, the Celtics are in trouble. They need to win two games on the road — and one would be Game 7 — an order to come back and win the series. Kyrie Irving has played poorly for most of the series and still does not want to hold himself accountable, and there’s a belief that his attitude has been a problem in Boston all year. You have to admire the confidence from Morris in a tough situation, but we just don’t see it happening.
