Russell Westbrook is nothing if not consistent.
The Sacramento Kings guard Westbrook once again got into it with a rival fan during Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers. In the closing minutes of the fourth quarter at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Calif., Westbrook was standing by the bench during a coach’s challenge.
Westbrook was then shown on the television broadcast exchanging some heated words with a male fan who was wearing an all-black outfit while sitting courtside. The exchange ended with arena security escorting the fan from his seat.

A closer, fan-shot angle of the incident also circulated online on Monday (though the conversation between Westbrook and the courtside fan was not audible in that video either). You can see that clip at the link here.
Westbrook finished the game with 13 points on 6/17 shooting, but the Kings lost to the Lakers in an ugly 125-101 blowout. Because the incident occurred with less than two minutes left in the fourth quarter, there was not much of a game left for Westbrook to have the fan ejected from.
The former MVP Westbrook continues to prove that he is an easy target for hecklers as they can very often get a reaction out of him. Westbrook particularly hates being called the nickname “Westbrick” and once again confronted a fan earlier this season for doing just that.
On top of that, Westbrook, who played for the Lakers from 2021-23, had a very difficult relationship with the local fanbase during his time with the purple and gold. Westbrook used to go after Lakers fans, even while he was still playing for their team.
