Shaun Livingston told Dirk Nowitzki his package is ‘impressive’ for a white guy
If you watched Saturday’s game between the Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks, you would have seen Dirk Nowitzki get drilled where the sun don’t shine by an opposing player. That player was Warriors guard Shaun Livingston, and he apparently paid Dirk a compliment after what appeared to be a blatant cheap shot.
On Monday, the Mavs held their annual season ticket holders appreciation day where players and coaches answer questions for the fans. One person asked Nowitzki about the low blow from Livingston. Take it away, Dirk.
“We talked a little bit afterwards,” Nowitzki explained. “He said, ‘You know, for a white guy it’s pretty impressive.'”
Hey, it wasn’t the first NBA nut shot and it won’t be the last.
Livingston was assessed a flagrant foul for the play and given a one-game suspension. Nowitzki said on Saturday that he was willing to give Livingston the benefit of the doubt because he is a “really good dude” and “not a dirty player.”
Judging by that compliment, he’s an even better dude that Nowitzki thought.
