Tim Hardaway Jr. shoves down Miles McBride, OG Anunoby during Game 6

Tim Hardaway Jr. shoving down Knicks players

Tim Hardaway Jr. wanted to take on everybody during Thursday’s Game 6.

The Detroit Pistons guard Hardaway got heated in the fourth quarter of his team’s first-round playoff contest against the New York Knicks at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Mich. Hardaway was trying to set a ball screen for Pistons teammate Cade Cunningham but was impeded from getting to the spot by Knicks guard Miles McBride.

A frustrated Hardaway then proceeded to shove McBride down to the ground. Hardaway pushed McBride into the path of Knicks forward OG Anunoby, who was defending Cunningham, and knocked Anunoby off-balance. Then Hardaway gave Anunoby a second, separate shove to the ground for good measure.

Take a look at the clip.

Hardaway was called for an offensive foul on the play but managed to avoid a technical foul for his actions. It was a frustrating Game 6 for Hardaway, who at the time was just 1/9 from the field for two points (including 0/5 from 3).

The No. 3 Knicks and the No. 6 Pistons have been getting on each other’s nerves throughout the series. During Game 3 of the series, Hardaway fell victim to a controversial eye poke from Knicks star Jalen Brunson (video here). The Pistons have also gotten frustrated over some late-game controversies in the series and over the flopping antics of Brunson. Now that the two teams have been battling it out for nearly two weeks, Hardaway decided to let off some steam in Game 6 of the series.
