Twitter reacts to Klay Thompson getting hot in another Game 6

Klay Thompson

Klay Thompson seems to live for Game 6 situations where his Golden State Warriors are facing elimination.

Back in 2016, Thompson scored 41 points on 11-for-18 shooting on threes to carry his Warriors to victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Warriors were facing elimination at the time but won that game and took home the series. They lost to the Cavs in the NBA Finals, but that series win set things up for Kevin Durant to eventually join the team.

It was more of the same on Saturday.

While some of his teammates were trying to figure things out and Kevin Durant struggled, Thompson heated up to carry the Warriors against the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference Finals on Saturday. Through three quarters, Thompson was 10-for-20 including six threes for 26 points. He also had four steals.

Folks on Twitter took note of his Game 6 play.

Game 6’s are for Klay Thompson. He owns them and doles them out at his leisure.

Game 6 and Klay Thompson, man.

Those two things go together well

Say what you want about Klay, he's picked some pretty important times to show up

— Marcus Thompson (@ThompsonScribe) May 27, 2018

Thompson often is viewed as lower in the pecking order on a team that also has Durant and Steph Curry, but forget about him at your own peril.
