Twitter reacts to Michael Porter Jr’s draft slide

Michael Porter Jr’s draft-day slide was one of the biggest stories of the evening.
Entering college, Porter was regarded as one of the top prospects in the country. He was viewed as a contender to be the No. 1 pick in the draft. But Porter hurt his back in his first game at Missouri and missed nearly the rest of the season.
Teams must have had serious concerns about his back injury, because Porter fell out of the lottery and was not taken until No. 14 overall by Denver. It probably didn’t help that he also cancelled a predraft workout.
Here are some of the Twitter reactions to Porter’s slide:
Meanwhile, Michael Porter Jr. just looked frustrated at his table, and was patted on the back by agent Mark Bartelstein. Where he lands is now the number 1A story in this year's draft (along with Doncic-Young trade).

At one point, Michael Porter Jr. was being discussed as the LIKELY No. 1 overall pick in this draft class. If he can stay healthy, he could go down as an INCREDIBLE steal.

Still crazy to me that Michael Porter Jr., is still on the board.

Had you said nine months ago that Michael Porter Jr. would not go in the top ten of the 2018 draft, there’s not a soul who would have believed you.

It’s hard to believe that a player who was in consideration for the No. 2 pick went all the way to No. 14, but that’s what happened. He’ll be out to prove people wrong and that he’s healthy.
