
Ontario native Wayne Gretzky got the loudest ovation of all during Game 5 of the NBA Finals in Toronto on Monday night.
Gretzky was among the celebrities in attendance for the Finals game between the Raptors and Golden State Warriors as Toronto had a chance to close out the series and win their first ever title.
Late in the first quarter of the game, The Great One was shown on the jumbotron at Scotiabank Arena and received a loud ovation according to reports in attendance.

Gretzky is from Brantford, Ontario, which is a little over an hour south of Toronto. He never played for the Maple Leafs, but he was there for Canada’s biggest NBA game ever.

Gretzky is a Hall of Famer, 15-time All-Star, four-time Stanley Cup champion, career goals, assists and points leader, and regarded as the greatest hockey player ever.
