Former boxing champ Antonio Tarver arrested for domestic battery
Former boxing champion Antonio Tarver has recently expressed interest in fighting again, but it would appear he now has bigger issues to sort out.
According to an arrest log that was obtained by TMZ, Tarver was arrested on Tuesday evening in Florida and charged with domestic battery. The details surrounding the alleged incident are unclear, but the 49-year-old was held on $1,000 bond.
Earlier this month, Tarver posted on Twitter about how he is not ready to close the book on his career but no one in the boxing industry will give him a shot.

This is not the first time Tarver has been in trouble with the law, as he was also arrested back in 2014 because of an unpaid gambling debt at the Wynn hotel and casino in Las Vegas.
Tarver’s last fight came three years ago and was a draw against Steve Cunningham. The multiple-time lightweight champion has a record of 31-6 with one draw and one no contest.
