Manny Pacquiao’s Wife Reportedly Turned Down His Wish to Renew Wedding Vows

Manny Pacquiao struggled against Juan Manuel Marquez Saturday but escaped with a win by majority decision. We thought it should have been a draw. Now many people are blaming Manny’s least impressive performance since 2008 on personal distractions.

“I think distractions outside the ring got to him,” Pacquiao’s noted trainer, Freddie Roach, told FOXSports.com’s Mark Kriegel.

That’s fair, and it could mean several things. Roach has complained that Pac Man is too distracted with being a politician to completely focus on boxing. He has claimed that Manny has financial problems. There is also apparently a conflict in Manny’s camp about his training methods (Manny has complained about his legs cramping during his last two fights). But Kriegel also reports that one distraction can be attributed to personal problems with his wife, Jinkee.

Kriegel says Manny wanted to surprise his wife with a ceremony at the Mandalay Bay last weekend to renew their wedding vows. Jinkee reportedly refused citing Manny’s alleged affairs. She reportedly would not do the ceremony unless Manny fired his agent.

Cheating allegations are nothing new for Manny. We’ve heard about them for years, and we even read about a similar report last month. We don’t know all the details of their relationship (except that they supposedly don’t have sex for three weeks leading up to fights), but this could to help explain why Manny may have been distracted before his fight.
