The Clemson Tigers pulled off one of the rarest plays in baseball during Sunday’s game against Ole Miss.
The Tigers successfully executed a flawless hidden ball trick against Ole Miss in the fifth inning of Sunday’s contest, which was played as part of the Shriners Children’s College Showdown. With runners at the corners and two out, the runner at third went to go consult with his third base coach, thinking play was stopped and the pitcher was getting ready to face the next hitter.
That was not the case. Clemson third baseman Josh Paino actually had the baseball, and he took advantage of Ole Miss’ lack of awareness to get the third out.

Clemson was pumped after pulling this one off. The pitcher jumped off the mound celebrating as if he had just sealed a vital strikeout.
Amazingly, this is not the first time Clemson has pulled off the trick recently. Teams might want to be a bit more aware than usual when facing them going forward.
Despite the entertainment value, the move was not enough to salvage the game for the Tigers. They wound up losing 15-5 in seven innings.
