Larry Eustachy decided to step down this week as the head coach of the Colorado State basketball team, and the man who hired him wishes Eustachy had left the program sooner.
After Eustachy announced that he is resigning amid an investigation by the university into his behavior and interactions with players and staff, former Colorado State athletic director Jack Graham issued a very harsh statement.

It remains unclear what prompted the latest investigation into Eustachy’s behavior. The coach was also investigated by the school in 2014 when Graham was still AD, and it was determined that he emotionally and verbally abused his players and used fear and intimidation tactics. Despite that, he kept his job.
Whatever happened, it appeared Eustachy had the support of his players after he was placed on administrative leave. Those players are now officially his former players.
Eustachy was named the head coach at Colorado State in 2012 after he spent eight seasons at Southern Mississippi. He was 121-74 with the Rams.
