Indiana F sounds off on lack of respect for team after upset win over MSU
Indiana’s De’Ron Davis feels that Saturday’s upset of Michigan State was a statement win in more ways than one.
After the unranked Hoosiers’ 79-75 victory over the No. 6-ranked Spartans, the junior forward said that the team was not being respected by the rest of the Big Ten Conference, per Cameron Drummond of IDS Sports.

Davis is averaging just 3.9 points and 1.8 rebounds per game on the year but came up big against Michigan State, posting 12 points, six rebounds, and four assists in his best overall game of the season. As for the Hoosiers, they are still just 13-9 overall and 4-7 in conference play. The team also lost their previous seven straight games and rank a distant ninth in the conference with their head coach even blasting their recent play as “soft.”
That being said, Indiana is proving that they can play to the level of virtually any team in the country when the going gets tough, and Davis thinks that should earn them more respect.
