Georgia State’s Ron Hunter tweets photo of Comfort Inn: ‘Let’s shock the world’
Georgia State head coach Ron Hunter is expected to be a source of much electricity in the NCAA Tournament, and he is living up to his reputation in advance of his team’s opening round matchup with Cincinnati.
On Wednesday, Hunter delivered a hilarious speech about his underdog Panthers, who are a No. 15 seed, taking on the No. 2-seeded Bearcats. Hunter spoke about how his gritty team eats at McDonald’s and stays at the Comfort Inn while teams like Cincinnati get to dine at fine restaurants and stay at the Hyatt. The coach later got more mileage out of the bit with a hilarious tweet:

You may be familiar with Hunter from March Madness three years ago, when he tore his Achilles while celebrating his team’s conference championship and later fell off his stool when his son hit a game-winning 3-pointer to upset Baylor in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. A Georgia State upset over Cincinnati on Friday is exactly what we need in this year’s dance.
