After South Carolina’s victory over Florida on Sunday, students back on campus engaged in a pretty epic celebration.
South Carolina continued its historic run in the NCAA Tournament on Sunday by defeating Florida 77-70 to advance to the Final Four for the first time in school history. The win was enough to move the above pictured Darius Rucker, better known as “Hootie” from Hootie & the Blowfish, to tears. You can see video of his reaction here.
Back at campus, students couldn’t contain their excitement and displayed their joy at the fountain located outside Thomas Cooper Library. They weren’t just gathered around the fountain. They were in the fountain.

The occasion certainly calls for a celebration and that’s what will surely be going on at South Carolina’s campus well into the night.
