Watch: UCF upset bid falls short after last-second shot somehow stays out
The UCF Knights were a matter of inches away from knocking the Duke Blue Devils out of the NCAA Tournament.
Down one with 7.7 seconds left, UCF’s B.J. Taylor got to the basket for a layup attempt that hung on the rim but fell off. Aubrey Dawkins tipped it back up, and while the ball hung on the rim even longer and looked like it was going to fall, it somehow managed to avoid going down.

A still look shows just how close the shot came to knocking Duke out of the tournament.

UCF played with some attitude, and Dawkins looked like a legitimate star, dropping 32 points on the Blue Devils. He was so close to 34, and unfortunately, he’d have needed them to advance to the Sweet 16.
