AJ McCarron plans to prove his doubters wrong

AJ McCarronA.J. McCarron definitely has a chip on his shoulder.

Seemingly out of nowhere, the former (is that as weird to read as it is to type?) Alabama quarterback sent a motivated tweet on Tuesday about proving his doubters wrong:

People will always HATE & DOUBT me which is fine. Keep doubting me & watch how I prove you wrong like I've always done in my career!!! #

— AJ McCarron (@10AJMcCarron) January 15, 2014

I didn’t know that people were out there doubting him and hating him, but I guess he has his haters and doubters. My guess is this tweet was sent in response to people questioning whether he can play in the NFL.

McCarron’s ability to plan at the highest level has been a topic of conversation over the past few months. Alabama’s offense always had great lines and running backs while he was there, so it was hard to see how good he was. But he put up good stats and committed very few turnovers, which is always a good sign.

Where will McCarron end up drafted? Perhaps in the middle rounds, either on the second or third day of the draft. Last we checked on his pro prospects, scouts were supposedly split on him. But the one thing we like about McCarron is that he has the mental edge. You can never underestimate athletes who train and play like they’re always being underestimated.
