Deion Sanders is apparently dealing with some more health problems.

The Colorado head football coach Sanders spoke with reporters on Saturday night after his team’s 35-21 loss to TCU. During the session, Sanders revealed that was “hurting like crazy” lately and believes that he has more blood clots in his leg.

“Cat’s out of the bag, all right. I think I’ve got more blood clots,” said Sanders, per ESPN. “It don’t make sense. I’m hurting like crazy … I’m not getting blood to my leg. That’s why my leg is throbbing.”

ESPN also notes that Sanders, who was seen sitting down on the sideline at times during Saturday’s game, added that he would be seeing his doctor on Monday to learn more about the issue.

Sanders, who turned 58 in August, has dealt with several health troubles in recent years. He shared in July that he had been battling bladder cancer and underwent a successful surgery to treat the issue. The former NFL Defensive Player of the Year is also unfortunately very familiar with blood clots and had two toes amputated on his left foot in 2021 following a clotting issue that developed from surgery. He then later underwent emergency surgery in 2023 to address a blood clot in his groin.

Now in his third season as the head coach at Colorado, Sanders has led the Buffaloes to an underwhelming record of 2-4 this year. Sanders had to take some time away from the team over the summer as he underwent his cancer treatment, and now it is unclear if he will need to take another leave of absence in the wake of his latest issue.
