Likely first-round pick Devin White leaving LSU to enter NFL Draft
LSU will have a major hole to fill at the heart of its defense heading into 2019, as linebacker Devin White announced on Monday that he is entering the NFL Draft.
White released a video on Twitter Monday morning thanking LSU and his coaches, teammates and fans for three great seasons with the Tigers. He also said he will continue to pursue his bachelor’s degree despite forgoing his senior season.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

White will be one of the best linebacker prospects in the draft and is expected to go as high as the top 10 overall picks. He racked up more than 250 combined tackles between his sophomore and junior seasons and became the only player in LSU history to win the Butkus Award. Along with defensive back Greedy Williams and nose tackle Ed Alexander, White is now third LSU underclassmen to declare for the draft.
LSU defeated UCF in the Fiesta Bowl to spoil their bid for another undefeated season, and White was sure to let them know where they stood after the game. He should have plenty of success on Sundays at the next level.
