Report: Nick Saban not interested in Giants head coaching job
Widespread speculation about Nick Saban’s future has begun amidst his sixth national championship victory, but a return to the NFL appears to be unlikely.
Paul Schwartz of the New York Post reported on Tuesday that the Alabama coach is not interested in the New York Giants’ head coaching vacancy.

The news comes after ex-Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians stoked Saban-to-New-York rumors on Tuesday by saying on FS1’s “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” that the four-time SEC Coach of the Year “covets” the Giants job.
On one hand, it seems that Saban has already accomplished all there is to accomplish in the college ranks. But on the other hand, the 66-year-old is a beloved figure in Tuscaloosa, has another top-ranked recruiting class arriving in 2018, and already possesses a hefty contract with the Crimson Tide that could pay him $54 million over the next seven years. Thus, the Giants might be better off turning their attention towards this fellow heavyweight instead.
