Rams analyst Jedd Fisch making push for Kansas job

Kansas Jayhawks

The Kansas Jayhawks head coaching job seems to be somewhat desirable despite the difficulty the program’s last three coaches have had winning there.

CBS Sports’ Dennis Dodd reported on Wednesday that Jedd Fisch, an analyst with the Los Angeles Rams, is pushing to get the Jayhawks job. He reports that Fisch met with Kansas athletic director Jeff Long this week.

Fisch, 42, has worked as an offensive coach at the NFL and college levels over the last 15 years. He has worked as an offensive coordinator for the Miami Hurricanes and Jacksonville Jaguars. He served as Michigan’s passing game coordinator, quarterbacks coach and wide receivers coordinator under Jim Harbaugh, and last year he was UCLA’s offensive coordinator and interim head coach.

Fisch is serving as an offensive analyst on Sean McVay’s Rams staff this year. His role is mainly to help with clock management.

In addition to Fisch, Kansas has talked with Todd Graham and Les Miles about the job.
