UCLA gets sideline interference penalty on kickoff returned for TD
The UCLA Bruins are so bad this season that they even cost themselves on a kickoff return for a touchdown.
Washington State had scored a touchdown to take a 21-10 lead in the second quarter of their game Saturday night against UCLA and then kicked off to the Bruins. UCLA’s Demetric Felton then returned the kick 100 yards for a score.
A flag was thrown on the play, leaving Chip Kelly and the Bruins perplexed. The officials quickly announced that the penalty flag was for someone on UCLA’s sideline coming near the field, getting in the way of an official.
Terrific kick return for UCLA… only for a person on the Bruins sideline to get called for interference after running into the ref. Score stands but still. pic.twitter.com/RgOCpnqZ1v

UCLA received a 15 yard penalty for sideline interference that was enforced on the kickoff.
Even when they’re doing things right, the 0-3 Bruins still make mistakes. On the bright side, it was UCLA’s first time cracking the 14-point mark in a game this season.
