WR Theo Howard transferring to Oklahoma from UCLA
The Oklahoma Sooners have added a big graduate transfer at wide receiver for next season: Theo Howard.
Howard, who spent his first three seasons playing at UCLA, was set to be a senior this season for the Bruins but did not play. Instead he decided to leave as a graduate transfer. He shared a photo on his Instagram account Wednesday that showed him in an Oklahoma jersey and included “Boomer” in the post.
Howard caught 56 passes for 594 yards and four touchdowns as a sophomore and 51 passes for 677 yards and four touchdowns as a junior. He did not play for Chip Kelly in 2019 and will instead be playing for the Sooners in 2020. Oklahoma is losing top receiver CeeDee Lamb to the NFL Draft, so there should be plenty of opportunities for Howard to shine in Norman next season.
