49ers willing to trade star WR to move up in NFL Draft?
The San Francisco 49ers appear to be a team to watch in the hours before the NFL Draft, with one report suggesting they are open to a huge move to try to move up in the first round.
The 49ers are open to trading either Brandon Aiyuk or Deebo Samuel to try and move up in the first round, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic. The 49ers have had talks with at least one team picking in the top ten about parting with one of the star wide receivers to move up.
The 49ers have had conversations with teams, including with one picking in the top 10, about trading either of their prized wide receivers Brandon Aiyuk or Deebo Samuel in an effort to move up in the first round, per sources.

Aiyuk is the big name, as he is currently locked in a contract dispute with the 49ers. Trading him on short notice might be difficult, as his new team would presumably want to work out a deal upon acquiring him. Samuel is signed through 2025, but any team could cut him after 2024 to get significant cap savings.
The 49ers are not the only team trying hard to move up. Some teams drafting could get some massive offers to move down that could be difficult to refuse.
