Reports: 49ers RB Jerick McKinnon suffers injury in practice
Jerick McKinnon continues to have a rough preseason.
McKinnon suffered an injury in practice on Saturday. 49ers reporter Matt Barrows of The Athletic says he was told the injury “did not look good.”
No details from the team yet but source said injury "did not look good." If McKinnon can't play vs. Vikings, Matt Breida, Alfred Morris obviously would have bigger roles. Kyle Shanahan to have cut-down con call at 1:05 p.m. https://t.co/gch3MnYStr

McKinnon was signed by San Francisco during the offseason after spending the previous four years with Minnesota. He was expected to be the starter, but he suffered a knee injury earlier in the preseason, and now he’s dealing with another injury. The combination of injuries to McKinnon and Matt Breida led the team to sign Alfred Morris, who could be in line for the bulk of the carries to begin the season.
