49ers sign 2-time Super Bowl champion for stretch run
The San Francisco 49ers have made a nice addition to their secondary as they enter a critical portion of the season.
Veteran defensive back Logan Ryan has agreed to a deal with the 49ers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports.

Ryan spent the 2022 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He appeared in 9 games and made 6 starts, finishing with 37 total tackles, an interception, a forced fumble and 3 passes defended.
Ryan was drafted by the New England Patriots in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He played a key role across four seasons in New England and was part of two Super Bowl champion teams.
The 32-year-old Ryan parlayed his success with the Patriots into a 3-year, $30 million deal with the Tennessee Titans. He then played for the New York Giants for two seasons after his stint in Tennessee.
The 49ers proved in their 42-19 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday that they do not have many needs, but quality depth is always welcome. Ryan should provide that for them if he’s healthy and in shape.
