New York Jets coach Aaron Glenn celebrated a bit too early during Sunday’s loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he is taking heat for it online.
The Jets staged a shocking rally to take the lead in the final five minutes of the fourth quarter Sunday at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. With 1:49 to go in regulation, the Jets actually took the lead when Will McDonald blocked a Buccaneers field goal try and returned it 50 yards for a go-ahead touchdown.
Glenn celebrated the score by running down the sideline, then breaking into a dance after McDonald reached the end zone.

As amusing as the celebration was, it was also premature. The Buccaneers still had plenty of time to get the ball back, and they were only down a point after the Jets failed to convert on a two-point conversion. Sure enough, the Bucs moved downfield and hit a 36-yard field goal as time expired to win the game.
People were quick to note that Glenn’s dance moves aged very badly.
The Jets will probably lose this game STRICTLY because of that shot of Aaron Glenn dancing. That’s looming rn as one of the most embarrassing Jets HC moments…

and then loses, what a tool

0-3. Then he's clapping at the end of the game like they won it.

Total joke.
Should have been getting your defense ready.

0-3
Glenn is trying to put his stamp on the Jets in his first season as the team’s head coach. However, to longtime Jets fans, their 0-3 start is more of the same, even though they made Sunday’s game competitive. Seeing Glenn dancing around in celebration on the sideline before the game is over is not going to sit well with many, especially since the Jets went on to lose.
At the very least, Glenn should be happier with the nature of Sunday’s loss compared with how he felt last week in a blowout.
