Al Michaels has been on a bit of a hot streak lately, and one of his coworkers wound up in the crosshairs during Amazon’s latest “Thursday Night Football” broadcast.
Andrew Whitworth, who played five seasons for the Los Angeles Rams, enjoyed something of a homecoming during Thursday night’s game between the Rams and New Orleans Saints. In between working as an analyst for Amazon, Whitworth did some eating and mingling. He was shown on the broadcast in the first half doing just that, and Michaels made a savage comment about his colleague.

“There is Whit, as usual at the trough,” Michaels said.
Michaels has been criticized over the past couple of seasons for his lack of enthusiasm. The 79-year-old seems to be trying to prove that he has plenty of spunk remaining, and as a result no one has been safe from his one-liners.
Last week, Michaels showed the Los Angeles Chargers no mercy as they were being torched by the Las Vegas Raiders. You have to wonder who will be next.
