Incredible Al Michaels graphic went viral during Vikings-Rams game

One of the greatest quirks about Al Michaels is that the legendary broadcaster absolutely refuses to eat a vegetable, and we were reminded of that in hilarious fashion on Thursday night.

The topic of Michaels’ dining preferences came up once again during the second quarter of the Los Angeles Rams’ 30-20 win over the Minnesota Vikings at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. Amazon showed some footage from an Italian restaurant called Toscana, which is a spot in the Brentwood area that Michaels frequents.

A graphic then flashed across the bottom of the screen that showed Michaels’ career stats at Toscana. The graphic claimed Michaels has eaten at the restaurant 4,121 times and ordered 3,672 steaks. Of course, the number of “veggies consumed” by Michaels was listed at zero.

“No veggies, baby, no veggies. You know that,” Michaels said proudly.

Michaels’ partner Kirk Herbstreit revealed last year that Michaels has an incredible halftime tradition that involves a gourmet meal. But if a vegetable were to come near the 79-year-old, all hell would break loose.

Michaels hates veggies so much that he won’t even look at a delicious sandwich if there’s something green on it. With the type of career and life he has had, there is certainly no reason for him to change his ways now.
