Baker Mayfield working out with former Tom Brady favorite WR
Baker Mayfield is staying in football shape while seeking a trade from the Cleveland Browns. The young quarterback has found some receivers to throw to as well, including one former Tom Brady favorite.
NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo reported on Wednesday that Mayfield is throwing with some veteran receivers in Texas as he stays ready. The receivers include Cole Beasley, Alex Bachman, and Danny Amendola.
From NFL Now on @nflnetwork: Baker Mayfield’s plan is to throw on his own (Cole Beasley, Danny Amendola and Alex Bachman are his current targets) while the #Browns work on a trade.

Amendola and Beasley are both free agents and veterans, while Bachman is a young player and under contract with the Giants. Amendola is 36 and best known for his five seasons with the Patriots from 2013-2017. He was one of Tom Brady’s favorite targets during that time, along with Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman.
Amendola spent last season with Houston, catching 24 passes for 248 yards and 3 touchdowns. Beasley turns 33 on April 26 and spent the last three seasons with the Bills. He caught 82 passes for 693 yards and a touchdown in 2021.
Mayfield is seeking a trade from Cleveland, which now has Deshaun Watson at quarterback. Mayfield’s market is limited, but there is one NFC team that could be a fit for him.
