Brandon Marshall reportedly dealing with MCL injury
Brandon Marshall is reportedly not a lock to play against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
While New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles has downplayed Marshall’s knee injury and said the veteran wide receiver is “fine,” Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported on Sunday that Marshall has an MCL injury. Depending on the severity, Marshall could need some time off.
Considering the injury was previously labeled a “slight” sprain, it seems unlikely that Marshall will miss more than one game. The injury can’t be that severe if he was able to return to Thursday night’s game against the Buffalo Bills and still be effective.
Whatever the case, Marshall’s injury looked a lot worse when it happened. Even he said he thought his season was over at the time. You can see a video of the play here.
