UPDATE: Marshall’s wife has already been arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. She is being held on $7,500 bail. Perhaps the most intriguing part of the story is that Marshall lied to police when they arrived at his home and told them he had slipped and fallen on a broken glass vase. Why his wife would stab him in the gut with a knife and then Marshall would feel inclined to try to keep her out of trouble is a pretty disturbing mystery.
Brandon Marshall is reportedly going to be fine after he was stabbed with a knife by a woman late Friday night. When it was reported that Marshall was in ICU undergoing surgery, speculation that his life was in danger began building. However, Jay Glazer reported (via ProFootballTalk) that Marshall is in “no imminent danger” after the surgery. Fortunately, the knife did not hit any vital organs.
Glazer also said it is believed that Marshall’s wife did the stabbing. Doctors initially thought she had thrown something like a lamp or vase which impaled him, but after taking a closer look they determined Marshall had been stabbed with a knife. We’ll update later as more details become available.
