Browns could change stance on Baker Mayfield trade demand?
The Cleveland Browns are currently refusing to grant quarterback Baker Mayfield’s trade demand, but that position may not be set in stone.
The Browns could “quickly” change their stance and accommodate Mayfield’s demand, according to Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Network. That would be contingent on Cleveland finding an adequate replacement for the quarterback.
While Browns not granting Baker Mayfield's trade request now, that could change quickly if-when they find a replacement for him.

The Browns have ample reason to play hardball. In theory, they could make themselves look less needy in talks with other teams as long as Mayfield is around as a fallback plan. Plus, holding firm publicly ensures that the Browns will not get lowballed in trade talks.
Deshaun Watson was clearly a target for Cleveland, but that will not be happening. If they are not serious about trying to make things work with Mayfield, they could look to someone like Jimmy Garoppolo instead.
