Browns announce their starting QB decision for Week 9
The Cleveland Browns have made a rather unsurprising decision on their quarterback for Week 9, and likely the remainder of the season.
Browns coach Kevin Stefanski made clear Monday that Jameis Winston will be the starter moving forward. That decision comes a day after Winston led the Browns to an upset win over the Baltimore Ravens.

There had been some thought that the Browns might prefer to get a good look at Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who is younger and perhaps has more of a long-term future in the NFL compared to the 30-year-old Winston. Winston’s performance on Sunday, however, left the Browns without much choice.
Winston went 27/41 for 334 yards with three touchdowns and no turnovers in his first start in place of Deshaun Watson, who is out for the season. He clearly has the rest of the team behind him as well, so the outlook for the Browns may actually be trending up the rest of the way.
