Bruce Arians calls reports about him leaving Cardinals ‘fake news’
Bruce Arians may not return to the Arizona Cardinals in 2018, but the head coach says not even he has made that decision yet.
On Tuesday morning, a report from Pro Football Weekly claimed Arians and the Cardinals have decided they will part ways after the season. That report was shot down almost immediately by some other NFL insiders, and Arians addressed the speculation while meeting with reporters later in the day.
Arians says nothing has changed in the last month regarding his future. laughed and called it “fake news” says they haven’t decided what to do.

Arians says he will meet with his family and decide sometime between next week and Feb., if M. Bidwill lets him take that long if needed.

Arians says he “never” thinks about upcoming decision. all about the next game.

It would not be a surprise if Arians decided to call it a career, as he is 65 and has battled some health issues in recent years. The Cardinals could also be entering a rebuilding phase with Larry Fitzgerald and Carson Palmer potentially not returning for 2018.
That said, Arians indicated earlier this month that he has not lost his passion for coaching. The Cardinals probably don’t want him to take too long to make his decision, but it seems highly unlikely that they would fire him.
