
Cam Newton went to the medical tent for examination during the second half of Carolina’s game against Buffalo on Sunday after taking a tough hit.
Newton was sacked by two Bills players on a 3rd down play late in the third quarter and appeared to get hit in the head and have his leg crunched.

The Panthers were leading 6-0 at the time and having a rough day on offense. Newton was 14 of 24 for 168 yards in the game before being hurt. He also was taking a beating and had been sacked six times.

The Panthers later said Newton had an ankle injury and would return to the game.
