Colts players shave their heads to support Chuck Pagano (Pictures)

The Indianapolis Colts have shown tremendous support for head coach Chuck Pagano throughout his battle with cancer, and that continued this week when more than two dozen players and staff shaved their heads. Adam Vinatieri and others went with the cue ball look, and much of the action was captured in this video on Colts.com.

“It’s all for Chuck,” punter Pat McAfee told the Indy Star on Tuesday. “We all don’t look good. “I’m not built to have a bald head. I’ve got a huge sniffer. But we all love our coach so much that we want to show unity and let people know we’re all in this together. It’s a really cool thing.”

Do they look good with their shaved heads? Absolutely not. But it’s hardly a sacrifice at all compared to what Pagano has been going through. I’m sure any show of support from his team — which also happens to be his extended family — gives Pagano added strength to keep fighting. If NBA superstars can shave their head for breast cancer and Keith Hernandez can lose his mustache for a good cause, a bunch of football players going bald was a no-brainer.
