David Njoku evaluated for possible concussion after landing on head
Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku went into the locker room during the first quarter of the team’s “Monday Night Football” game against the New York Jets to be checked for a possible concussion.
Cleveland had a 2nd-and-8 play from midfield midway through the first. Baker Mayfield attempted a pass for Njoku, who dropped the ball after being up-ended. The tight end landed on his head.

Njoku went into the medical tent on the sideline and later into the locker room. He was questionable to return due to a potential concussion, ESPN said.
A 2017 first-round pick, Njoku had four catches for 37 yards and a touchdown in the team’s Week 1 loss to Tennessee. He had 56 catches for 639 yards and four touchdowns last season.
