Derrick Henry couldn’t even throw a sideline temper tantrum during Monday’s game in peace.
The Baltimore Ravens running back coughed up a critical fumble in the fourth quarter of his team’s Week 3 contest against the Detroit Lions at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Md. The Ravens, trailing 28-24, had just forced the Lions to punt and had been looking to take the lead with a touchdown drive.
The Ravens opened the drive with a handoff to Henry, who had the ball punched out from behind. Detroit was able to recover at Baltimore’s 16. While the Lions later settled for a field goal, Henry’s miscue changed the complexion of the game.

Henry threw a fit on the sidelines after giving up possession at such a crucial juncture of the contest. He slammed his helmet in anger and slipped in the process. The man couldn’t even throw a tantrum properly, prompting fans to crack jokes at his expense.

Henry finished the contest with 50 rushing yards and a touchdown on 12 carries in what ended up as a 38-30 Ravens loss.
The All-Pro running back has been one of the best rushers in the game for a decade now. But he’s had trouble taking care of the football this season. His fumble on Monday was his third of the year, which already ties his total from last season.
Henry started off the 2025 campaign with a bang, tallying 169 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Buffalo Bills. But he also committed a costly fumble late that allowed the Bills to steal a 41-40 win.
