Dolphins coach warns Josh Rosen has ‘a lot to learn’

Miami Dolphins coach Brian Flores offered a bit of a warning to anyone expecting to see big things from quarterback Josh Rosen in his first season with the team.

Flores admitted that Rosen has a lot of room to grow and plenty of work to do to make sense of Miami’s offensive playbook.

“He’s smart,” Flores said, via Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post. “He’s got a big arm. He’s talented. He’s got some leadership ability. But he’s got a lot to learn. There’s no doubt about that.

“This offense, it’s not an easy one to learn. There’s something new every day. He’s improving, he’s getting better every day. I like that.”

Flores is clearly optimistic about Rosen’s ability, and they’re going to give him the chance to win the starting job. It’s a reminder, however, that there’s also a decent chance we’re treated to the Ryan Fitzpatrick show before all is said and done here.
