The Chargers locked up Philip Rivers to an $84 million contract extension over the weekend, and the Chargers quarterback celebrated quite simply.
In his press conference after the new deal was announced, Rivers was asked how he celebrated his big deal. Perhaps predictably, there wasn’t much in the way of fanfare. However, Rivers did mention that he picked up a pizza from Domino’s on his way home.
Best way to celebrate a 4-year contract extension? For Philip Rivers, it's by grabbing a @dominos pizza.

What was on the pizza, you might be wondering? Pepperoni, jalapenos, and black olives were the five-time Pro Bowl quarterback’s toppings of choice. I’m not a big fan of olives, but I can get behind the pepperoni and jalapenos.
Domino’s, not surprisingly, capitalized on the publicity opportunity and joked they may have a job for Rivers when his new contract expires.
Great topping combo, Philip. Wanna come work for us in like 4 years? https://t.co/65jmjDyfc9

The Chargers, though, pointed out if the pizza company is going to get Rivers it wouldn’t be after four years.
@dominos Hold up . Philip is under contract for FIVE more years.
